Structural Integrity Repairs

Stringers, bulkheads, transoms, deck cores, hull laminates — this is the structural backbone of your boat, and when any of it goes soft, you feel it. Maybe the deck gives a little underfoot, the transom flexes where it shouldn't, or the ride just doesn't track the way it used to. You know something's off. Impact damage, stress fatigue, delamination, and water intrusion all take their toll, and in a performance hull that's running hard offshore, compromised structure isn't just a maintenance issue — it's a safety issue.

We don't guess at what's going on. We open it up, do a full inspection, and map out the damage — including what's happening behind the areas you can see. Moisture migration through balsa or foam cores can spread well beyond the original entry point, and if you're only fixing what's visible, you're leaving a problem behind. We remove damaged core and laminate completely, dry and prep the substrate properly, and rebuild using marine-grade materials and layup schedules that are engineered for the loads your boat actually sees. Vinylester resins, biaxial and knitted fabrics, proper tabbing — no quick patches with chopped strand and polyester over wet wood.

Stringer repair isn't something you cut corners on. The loads running through that grid — engine torque, wave impact, dead rise compression — all feed directly into the hull skin through those structural members. We approach stringer reinforcement and replacement the same way we approach a new build: correct laminate thickness, proper taper transitions, and bonding that ties everything into the hull so nothing works loose after a season of hard running. Bulkhead rebonding gets the same treatment — we make sure the tabbing schedule and surface prep are right so the connection holds under repeated stress cycling.

Deck core replacement, hull reinforcement, delamination repair — every job is done with weight distribution and performance in mind. We build sportfishing boats that run in rough water, so we understand exactly how these structures need to perform when the seas stack up and the bite is on. Your boat comes back tight, solid, and ready to fish hard.
